Gwendolyn B. Fifer, age 90, passed peacefully on Friday, October 18th, 2019 in Simi Valley, Ca.
Born April 1929 in Arkansas where she lived until the age of 17. She often reminisced of her one room school house and the many fishing holes she enjoyed. She moved to Oklahoma where she met the love of her life, William Fifer. Together the two made a home in North Hollywood, Ca. where they raised a family of five kids. She took pride in being a homemaker and volunteering as a yard aid at her children’s school. She enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, traveling in their RV, gardening, and square dancing. She was a woman of devoted faith with a genuine kindness for all, and a lovely smile that was sure to brighten your day.
Gwendolyn is survived by her 5 children; William Perry Fifer, David Lee Fifer, Darlene Remund, Denise Bazdarich and Stephen Fifer, as well as her 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Her celebration of life will begin with a viewing at 10:00 am at Angeleno Valley Mortuary, 5423 Tujunga Ave., North Hollywood, CA 91601 to be followed by a graveside service at 12:00 pm at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 North Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321. Flowers can be sent to Angeleno Valley Mortuary.
