An intimate memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, September 29th at Angeleno Valley Mortuary, 5423 Tujunga Avenue, North Hollywood, CA 91601.
Patrick Henry George, 73, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 10, 2020 at his nursing home in Los Angeles, California. Patrick was born January 02, 1947 to the late Jack George and Maggie Stapleton-George in Delhi, Louisiana. Patrick, known to many as Pat, is the 9th of 12 children.
Patrick moved to California in 1972 where he began his craft in carpentry. He was a “jack of all trades”, always knew a little something about everything. He could build homes, remodel any and everything, and had a love and beautiful skill at all mediums of art. He mastered upholstery, fancied himself a fine cook and dived into learning about all history. There will always be fond memories of Kung Fu and Godzilla movies with his children and his infectious laugh.
Patrick is preceded in death by his parents and six sisters; Doretha George, Callie Sanders, Thelma Franklin, Gloria Myers, Martha Burgess, and Vera George Beckwith; One brother, Jackie R. George.
Patrick leaves to celebrate his lifelong memories, his wife, Carmen George; along with seven daughters, Beverly George, Cassandra Draughter (Glen), Cecilia George (Keir), Priscilla Rogers, Robin George (Vanessa), Patrice George (Jef), and Evelyn George; Two brothers, John R. George (Tina) and Stanley W. George (Ruth); Two sisters, Mary A. Johnson (Otis), Ruth L. Osborne and; Eleven grandchildren, Jordan (Laura), Briana, Christianna, Jimmy, Tyelor, Tylor, Jenna, Joshua, Nigel, Max, Haylie, Dani, and David. Patrick was also blessed with three great grandchildren; Mason, Khloe, and Jet as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and life-long friends.
A special thank you must be given to Vernon Health Care Nursing Home in Los Angeles for their patience, generous tender care and support during his stay and in his final hours.
