Shirley Janette Swanson Porter peacefully passed from this life on January 21, 2020 in Studio City, California.
She was raised by her grandparents, Conrad and Lydia Swanson, on their family's farm in Scandia, Minnesota. Her favorite activities included time spent outdoors, the company of animals, polka music, and dancing. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolaine Dawn Porter Garner, grandchildren Russell Garner (Ashley), and Joseph Garner. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nila Christine Garner. A private family service will be offered to commemorate her life.
